Specifications include, but are not limited to: ▪ The concession Lease is for Short Beach Pavilion only. This does not include the Golf Course restaurant which is situated adjacent to Short Beach property. ▪ Provide a full food and beverage menu to be serviced to beach patrons. Submit sample menu for intended sale, including prices. Prospective bidders may also attach prices and equipment list for intended rental of beach chairs and umbrellas. This service is optional. All equipment scheduled for rental purposes must be of current manufacture, meeting all safety standards. Rental equipment must be approved by the Town. ▪ Minimum hours of operation shall be from 8:00AM to 6:00PM, seven days per week, weather permitting, commencing the Memorial Day weekend through end of Labor Day weekend each year. Failure to operate the Concession during such hours shall be considered breach of contract. Lessee may extend the hours of operation to 9:00PM if deemed in his/her best interest. Lessee, at own discretion, may also operate the concession from the first week of May and/or extend operation of the business through October. ▪ The facility to be leased may not be used for any purpose other than the legal preparation and sale of food and beverages as outlined in this document. ▪ Glass bottles or cans are not permitted to be sold at the concession. Food and drink must be sold in paper cups and plates. ▪ Cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and vape related products, including alcoholic beverages of any kind, are not permitted to be sold by the Lessee, nor may these products be stored or consumed on the premises covered under Lease. ▪ Prior to commencing operation of the concession, the Lessee must contact the Health Department for clearance/approval. All staff and employees operating the food concession must be qualified by the Health Department. A qualified food operator must be onsite at the concession minimum 30 hours per week. ▪ Hot and cold running potable water is required to be maintained by Lessee at all times. Lessee shall be responsible for payment of electric and water utilities required for proper operation of the Concession. Separate meters are provided. ▪ All food service areas are to be equipped with an approved type screening. The Concession facility must be kept in a clean, sanitary condition at all times, including trash. Grounds adjacent to the facility are to be maintained by the Lessee, with all trash picked up and placed in proper trash containers.
