Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Prepare the existing roof system to receive the new specified overlay roof system installation. This includes the removal of all debris, cleaning the surface, removal of all existing ridges, wrinkles, and blisters in the existing roof membrane, and grid cutting of the existing membrane if required per specifications in IRC report specifications. • Approximate SF of Roof Area in Scope: 1,655,087 SF • Add Alternate (South Hall Admin Areas): 608,478 SF b. Removal and disposal of the existing roof membrane in all drainage areas, existing through-wall scupper flashings, existing flashing at all penetrations, existing roof curbing and parapet wall per IRC report specifications. c. The installation of a new Underwriters Laboratory Class “A” fire resistant roof system consisting of a white, RhinoBond, mechanically attached, 80-mil thick, smooth back, PVC single-ply roof system, over ½ inch thick Densdeck. The new roof system is to be secured per factory mutual I-90 wind uplift resistance requirements per perimeter, corner, and field areas into the building’s substrate (areas listed in IBC report specifications plan). Contractor to ensure proper flashing at all penetrations and vents. Contractor to conduct water tests to ensure roof is watertight. d. Special project conditions to be included in base bid scope of work for the installation of the overlay single-ply roof system listed on plan specifications in IBC report. e. A 25-Year Roof Coating and Membrane Warranty and a 5-Year Contractor materials/workmanship will be required.
