Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide professional development services related to English Learners. The professional development would help to ensure English Learners have meaningful access to highquality, standards-aligned learning opportunities that integrate language development, literacy, and content mastery. The goal is for MNPS schools and Support Hub Staff to understand best practices for language supports and other aspects of EL-focused instruction, in both English language development (ELD) and all content area/general education classes. The professional development must: • Support the increase in the number of EL students who meet or exceed their language growth targets on ACCESS. • Support the increase in the number of the percentage of EL students on target/mastered TN Ready and EOCs. • Support the increase in the percentage of Transitional (T1-T4) students on target/mastered in ELA. • Utilize research and evidence-based professional learning approaches based on adult learning theory
