Specifications include, but are not limited to: 41'X18'X8" CONCRETE SLAB FOR 10000 GALLON FUEL TANK The Contractor is responsible for prepping the pad site. Removal of existing asphalt, concrete and soil as needed by the contractor as well as compaction and placing foundation stabilization. (AB-3) which must be approved by KDOT. Broken concrete and asphalt shall be hauled off by the contractor. KDOT will provide a location on-site for any excess soil. The Contractor is responsible to place the 28 bollards as specified. 6” steel pipe filled with concrete, set in 12” diameter,3’ deep concrete, primed and painted yellow. The Contractor is responsible to place concrete in formed areas and on grade for the slab to the plan dimensions. The Contractor is responsible for the backfill and compaction of soil around the new concrete structure upon proper curing and replacing any additional asphalt to tie into existing asphalt. The Contractor is responsible to compact foundation stabilization to Type B compaction (90% maximum density) and may be determined by the walk-out method or verified by density tests. The Contractor is responsible for placing 6” of foundation stabilization (AB-3) under the concrete slab. Payment for foundation stabilization will be subsidiary to the concrete pad.
