Specifications include, but are not limited to: DHHL is seeking grant proposals statewide to support existing projects, programs, and services for existing homestead communities or improvements to existing community facilities located on Hawaiian Home Lands to promote healthy and thriving native Hawaiian homestead communities. The grant proposals may cover a broad range of areas, including but not limited to DHHL General Plan policy topics: land use and water resources, infrastructure, economic development, healthy communities, housing, and / or food production. Proposed projects may include any project listed in any Commission-approved DHHL Regional Plan, including those listed as "Potential" and/or "Priority Projects". Partnerships and teams consisting of DHHL beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, including individuals and organizations, are encouraged to apply. Projects shall be beneficiary-driven and any assistance should provide benefits DHHL homestead lessees. All applications must include a description of processes that seek to address projects that specifically address this solicitation's purpose.
