Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following technical specifications identify the State of Alaska, Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries, (the State’s) requirements for a new 26-foot outboard powered welded aluminum survey/research/dive vessel. The vessel will be used to monitor commercial drift gillnet and seine fisheries, herring sac roe and spawn on kelp fisheries, dive fisheries, which include urchins, sea cucumbers and geoducks, and pot shrimp fisheries in management Districts 1-4 as well as conducting herring spawn dive deposition surveys, miscellaneous shellfish SCUBA dives, and proficiency dives. This includes, at times, very rough seas in Dixon Entrance for the management of the Northern Boundary drift gillnet fishery or crossing Clarence Strait for the management of the purse seine, pot shrimp, and dive fisheries.
