Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Consultant will collect traffic data at a minimum of 91 locations in year one, 101 locations in year two, and 86 locations in year three utilizing their own equipment and software. The Consultant will then rotate through years 1-3 for the remainder of their contract. The County may choose to add or subtract roads or count locations from year to year. 7-day continuous counts shall be done on the County’s arterial and major collector roads. 48-hour counts shall be done on the local, residential, and unpaved roads. 53 total 7-day continuous counts shall be done within the three-year count rotation. 28 7-day counts in year one, 22 7-day counts in year two, and 3 7-day counts in year three.; 48- hour counts must be collected for representative weekdays (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) and not include dates on or near holidays. Vehicle classification counts using FHWA’s 13 vehicle classifications should be collected in 15- minute directional bins; average speed should be reported for the same 15-minute bins as the vehicle classifications; 85th percental speed should be reported for the duration of the study.
