Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Oregon Department of State Lands is seeking bids for a 174-acre juniper removal project on state trust land in Harney County south of Princeton. Project entails felling of juniper trees under 20’ adjacent to Standcliff Crk. Debris will be loosely piled adjacent to livestock trails and roads and cut/fell in areas away from livestock trails and roads. Access is off Anderson Valley Road and a seasonal two-track road through private lands. Based on bid amounts acreage may be adjusted accordingly, if additional acreage is added it will be in an area of similar density to the main project area. Stump height less than 15” Livestock trails and roads are to be left clear of felled trees and debris. All juniper trees less than 20’ in height are to be cut within the project boundary including all limbs attached to cut stumps. No-cut trees will be flagged with “do not cut” flagging tape. Contractor will supply any/all equipment necessary to perform duties of this scope of work. Project will be lightly flagged with orange/black flagging tape with the expectation the contractor will use the AVENZA mapping app for navigation through project areas. Wood may be removed from project area with prior authorization; a wood cutting permit is available upon request or a special use permit for removal of large volumes of material. The contractor is responsible for abiding by any fire restrictions that may be in effect by either Bureau of Land Management or Oregon Department of Forestry.
