Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project includes expansion of the existing Economy B parking lot at the Charleston International Airport. The expansion will increase the parking lot capacity from 1,482 to approximately 1,848 vehicular parking spots. The project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing pavements, landscaping and lighting, placement of controlled fill and aggregate base course, new asphalt pavement and pavement striping, concrete curb and gutter, fencing, landscaping, storm drainage structures, new high mast lighting, low voltage, access control, and security. Additionally, seal coat and new striping will be placed on the existing asphalt that remains in place. The construction will be phased to limit impacts to current use by passenger vehicles.
