Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Gallatin, Tennessee is planning to build and launch a public Wi-Fi network in downtown Gallatin, inclusive of a landing page that can be used to display local shopping/tourist resources and digital equity resources. The City of Gallatin is looking for a turnkey solution provider to partner with it to design, build, and manage the Wi-Fi network over a period of at least five years. This project, if successful, may be the first of several public Wi-Fi initiatives in the City of Gallatin. Bidders should ensure that responses and solution design do not preclude future extensibility of this sort. The selected supplier will: ● Design, build, and operate a public Wi-Fi network throughout the project area as negotiated post-award with the successful bidder. ● Provide an internet connection sufficient to meet the capacity needs of the network as described in this RFP. ○ The provision of connectivity must be structured as a bandwidth pool that can be accessed at multiple locations, in case other public Wi-Fi locations are added later. ● The City prefers the network be launched to the public on or before March 31, 2024; however, the City will entertain valid reasons to extend that launch. ● Work may not be sub-contracted without the City of Gallatin’s written permission, which will not be unreasonably withheld (e.g. cabling or electrical contractors).
