Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Hartford (“City”) and the Hartford School Building Committee (“HSBC”) invite qualified firms and individuals to submit qualifications for trade contractors to construct and renovate school projects in the Hartford Public School System: Presently we are in the process of design for the Betances Learning Lab School located at 42 Charter Oak Ave in Hartford, CT, the E.B. Kennelly School located at 180 White Street in Hartford, CT, and the Fred D. Wish School located at 350 Barbour Street, Hartford, CT. Other schools are being programmed within the system. The Hartford School Building Committee will be overseeing this project. Interested parties should submit qualifications in accordance with the requirements and directions contained in this document. Proposers are prohibited from contacting any City employee, officer or official concerning this RFQ, except as set forth below. A proposer’s failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification. This RFQ is not a contract offer, and no contract will exist, and no rights will be conferred to a proposer unless and until a written contract is signed by the City and the successful proposer. The project delivery method is Construction Manager at Risk with full design documents and specifications developed by an architectural/engineering firm; TSKP Studio for the Betances Learning Lab School, Tecton Architects for the E.B. Kennelly School, and JCJ Architecture for the Fred D. Wish Museum School. The construction documents will be let out to bid and a construction manager at risk is hired to complete the construction. The HSBC has retained Colliers Project Leaders as the owner’s representative. The construction Manager for the Betances Learning Lab and the EB Kennelly School is Downs Construction, and the Fred D Wish Museum School is Newfield Construction.
