Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Work with County staff and location staff to schedule, plan, and perform activities to successfully implement monthly Fix-it Clinics. This includes working with staff to identify a suitable location to conduct the Clinics. County Library staff has historically helped schedule free space to host Clinics (currently booked through November 2024). b. Communicate regularly with County staff to review current resources, project goals and work plan. c. Pick up (and return) resources from County to conduct monthly Clinic. d. Coordinate and provide healthy snacks and beverages at the Clinic for volunteers. e. Volunteer management: communicate with volunteers before, during and after event and recruit additional volunteers. f. Ensure volunteers and resident participants sign appropriate liability waivers. g. For the day of the Clinic, set-up as detailed in Attachment A, communicate with volunteers and participants during the Clinic, and tear down after the Clinic ends. h. Document the Clinic with pictures. i. Gather information at the Clinic, report numbers back to Dakota County within two weeks of each event and copy host site staff. j. Ensure residents take Dakota County follow up survey. k. Manage volunteer nametags and shirts. After volunteering for three Fix-It Clinics, fixers receive an embroidered nametag. Used shirts should be cleaned after each event. l. Wash and dry Dakota County tablecloth as necessary. n. Produce Annual Program Report for the Fix-It Program year (2024) to share program results. o. Ensure all products used for fixer snacks are either low waste or else certified BPI compostable. p. Ensure any Fix-It Clinic purchase supplies (tools, sockets, batteries, etc.) are pre-approved by the County. q. Coordinate with City Waste Abatement staff to help support clinics as appropriate.
