Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Initiate and manage relationship(s) with one or more hotels to serve as temporary shelter options for those identified as eligible program participants, including contractual services, transportation of clients, responding to client complaints, maintaining regular contact with hotel operators, and paying hotel bills. • Accept program participant referrals directly from RCS’ Homeless Services Division. • Place program participants in participating hotels and transport as needed, clearly communicating the time-limited nature of the hotel stay and case management requirements to participants. • Provide ongoing case management for program participants staying temporarily in hotels, including developing an exit strategy in instances of positive outcomes and/or violations. Case management should include, at a minimum, review of client expectations and signed client contract, weekly hotel room checks and contact with hotel management, demonstrated progress toward application of eligible benefits and documents needed for stable housing, assistance with housing applications, housing navigation e.g. deposit assistance, furniture resources, etc., support in linking with community resources needed for securing basic needs. • As necessary, provide transportation to support reunification for persons who are homeless and assessed to be from outside of Jefferson County • Document all activities within Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and provide regular financial and programmatic reports to RCS.
