Power will be provided by owner. d) System shall work to minus 9 degrees Fahrenheit either through the heat pump alone or a secondary electric heat source provided within this scope. e) Drawings of the 6th floor layout are included in the Attachment section of the RFB. 2.2 3rd Floor HVAC – Veterans Memorial Building Design and install two (2) heat pump systems with local controls for the 3rd floor. a) Design shall include all necessary calculations and engineered drawings for a balanced system. b) System shall include heating and cooling completed with heat pump systems with local controls. Heating and cooling delivered through ductwork from a centralized unit is preferred. c) Proposed units shall supply heating down to sub-zero temperatures through heat pumps, or a hybrid system with an electric heating unit within the ducts or the central unit. A path for gravity removal of condensate shall be provided within the room specified to house the proposed units 3W1 and 3W2 (see attached drawing). d) Wall angle has been left in place to establish ceiling heights within each space. All ductwork must remain above the drop ceiling to be installed in the future. e) A drawing of the 3rd floor layout is provided in the Attachment section of the RFB for reference only and may not be to scale. Color coded areas show the existing area in red that is already supplied by an existing unit to remain. The areas in blue and green are to be supplied within the scope of this project. These areas are differentiated as the owner currently sees as most convenient. Owner is open to zoning these areas differently if it creates better flow, better control, or reduced cost. Existing ductwork that remains can be re-used or shall be removed at the discretion of the awarded Contractor. If removed, Contractor is responsible for removal at no additional cost to the City.
