Specifications include, but are not limited to: Material The material shall be Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) meeting the requirements of Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction (ISPWC) 2017 edition, Section 703 “Cast-In-Place Concrete” for Class 3000 mix design for when fly ash is not required and using ACHD Design (6 – 98 lbs. bag). Portland cement material shall meet AASHTO M 85 Type I, unless pre-approved by ACHD’s Engineer. Coarse Aggregate shall meet ISPWC Standard 703.2.1E for ¾ inch minus as listed on the Bid Schedule. Air Entrainment shall meet ASSHTO M 154 standards and shall comply with ISPWC Standard 703.2.4 Table 1. All cost for Air Entrainment shall be included in the unit price for PCC Material as listed in the Bid Schedule. OPTIONAL MATERIALS (upon request by ACHD) Optional materials may be requested and added to the specified Portland Cement Concrete at the request of ACHD and listed on the Bid Schedule. These materials will include the following: A. Micro-synthetic Fiber Reinforcement (Fiber) shall be BASF’s MasterFiber 100 meeting ASTM C 116/C 1116M Standard Specifications or approved equal. Fiber shall be paid for per pound per cubic yard (LB/CY) as listed on the Bid Schedule. B. Hot water shall be used in the PCC Material when requested by ACHD. Hot Water shall be paid for by the CY of PCC as listed on the Bid Schedule. C. Water-Reducing Admixture shall be BASF’s Pozzolith 200 N meeting ASTM C 494/C 494M Standard Specifications for Type A, water reducing, Type B, retarding and Type D, water reducing or approved equal. Water-Reducing Admixture (Pozzolith 200 N) shall be paid for per Fluid Ounce (FL OZ) as listed on the Bid Schedule.
