Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University requests the services of an Electrical Contractor/ Design-Builder to confirm and familiarize themselves with existing conditions in two (2) respective electrical vaults in order to demolish and dispose of existing transformers, then specify, procure, and install new transformers. The selected Design-Builder will be responsible to provide a waste disposal plan, as part of their bid, and will be responsible for disposal of hazardous material and waste. The two buildings covered under this Contract are: Diehl Hall (Project # 01-111-24-2580), located at 505 Essex St. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455; Borlaug Halls (Project # 02-429-23-2529) located at 1991 Upper Buford Circle, St. Paul, MN 55108. Design-Builder will be responsible for all pertinent electrical connections and will be responsible for and provide temporary power for all outages lasting more than 4 hours and/or as needed. Proposals will be reviewed as a total of the two buildings. However, Design-Builder will be required to separate out accounting, scheduling, and invoices/Pay Applications for each building. These projects will occur in occupied buildings. The contractor must do due diligence to ensure no disruption of services. Unless complete power outage is inevitable, in which case, temporary power must be provided to support crucial research infrastructure when/if needed. Required Design Services The Basic Services for the Project will include: Schematic Design Phase; Design Development Phase; Construction Document Phase; Bidding / Negotiation Phase; Construction Phase - Administration of Construction Contract
