Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Iowa (hereafter, The University/University) located in Iowa City, Iowa, desires to obtain written proposals from qualified Suppliers to provide a complete dictation and voice recognition system that is currently on the market to report imaging findings. The Department of Radiology is seeking a voice recognition system with a robust speech recognition engine with voice training functionality, an administrative management interface, and output customization. The system is also required to have bidirectional integration with the department’s existing Picture Archiving and Communication Systems ("PACS") and Radiology Information Systems ("RIS") permitting integration of data from those systems and exporting tags or labels which would trigger events in those systems. Additionally, the system is required to have a workflow for labeling reports as critical, abnormal, or additional imaging needed. Specific requirements for this system: ꞏ Ability to launch from both the RIS and PACS worklists. ꞏ Cloud based voice recognition with local function ability if there is network failure. ꞏ Functional without the need for individual trained voice profiles. ꞏ Ability to quickly add and train words during use at the individual and system level. ꞏ Automatic template launch based on procedure code, age, gender, and protocol. ꞏ Short-listed availability for alternate templates based on procedure, protocol, and other order data. ꞏ Automatic mapping of an unlimited number of data points from the Epic EMR into report fields. ꞏ Automatic populate fields in the report from exam generated data such as ultrasound measurement, radiation dose, contrast type and volume. ꞏ Notification to the RIS and PACS of the stage of the report – wet read, preliminary, on call, signed final ꞏ Permit dual authoring workflow with two contributing authors.
