Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goal of this project is help feed water from the west side of Route 66 to the east in the City of Kingman’s Main Tank pressure zone. The improvements include construction of approximately 11,865 feet of 16” ductile iron water main, beginning at the intersection of Washington Street and ending at the intersection of Santa Rosa Drive and Arcadia Avenue, where the new 16” main will be connected to the existing 16” main in Santa Rosa Drive. See Exhibit A. The project will consist of installing the new 16” ductile iron main and all related facilities and may include the installation of one or more pressure reducing valves. The proposed main will cross Interstate 40 necessitating jack and bore construction. The City is particularly interested in selecting a CMAR that has experience with working in ADOT right of way and that has proven experience with jack and bore construction. Additionally, the interceptor will pass through a residential area and the City will be looking for a CMAR that can work with the local residents during construction to minimize access disruptions and complaints. The City has entered into a professional services contract with Sunrise Engineering, Inc. to design the improvements. The CMAR shall work closely with and be an integral part of this project team during the design and construction phases of the project. The total estimated construction cost for performing the work under this project is expected to be about $5.5 million.
