Specifications include, but are not limited to: This program will start with weekly collection of separated food waste from two (2) 65-gallon carts inside the Transfer Station, as well as one (1) 65-gallon cart at each of four (4) locations: • Transfer Station (outside of entrance), 311 Olcott Street • Whiton Library, 100 North Main Street • Senior Center, 549 Middle Turnpike East • Mount Nebo Park, 155 Spring Street Food waste carts within the Transfer Station gates will be accessible Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 2:30pm. Collection of the other four locations shall be Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Additional collection days and times may be considered on an as needed basis and will only be allowed with prior authorization by the Town. The carts will be house in locked enclosures. The keys for these enclosures will be provided to the Contractor. Information on the enclosures and details on their planned locations are provided as attachments. As part of the cost of collection, the following items must be included in the unit bid prices: • All carts shall be lined with trash bags each time they are emptied. Trash bags shall be provided by the Contractor. • Bags shall be capable of holding the anticipated food waste collected without breakage and shall be liquid tight. • Any spillage that occurs during collection shall be promptly cleaned up by the Contractor. • All trash carts shall be cleaned monthly. • Total weight of food waste collected shall be provided to the Town.
