Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Nebraska is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all labor, materials and equipment required for the decommissioning of the building’s existing chilled water system and connection to the campus distribution system. Decommissioning will require the removal of two chillers, two chilled water pumps, and interconnecting piping located in the basement mechanical room. Two condensing units located on the roof of the building along with the associated refrigerant piping will require removal. Refrigerant will be recovered by the University. Contractor will be responsible for cleaning and flushing of new and existing chilled water piping. Wiring and conduits serving the existing chillers, pumps and condensing units shall be removed and de-terminated at the source panels. Connection to the campus distribution system will require buried piping to be installed outside the building and new piping to be installed within the basement mechanical room. Instrumentation, chilled water control valve and testing/balancing will be provided by the University.
