Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist the City in collecting feedback from caregivers and children, as well as all current and potential future users in the second engagement phase. 2. Determine playground features desirable to residents and increase usage. 3. Establish three concept designs for the playground that promote diversity of play features for all youth age groups. 4. Assist the City in adding to the final cumulative report summarizing engagement findings and identifying the final concept design plan. 5. Assist the City in applying for a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Historic Landmarks Commission. 6. Order the playground equipment, complete the demo, and complete the construction for the reimagined playground. 7. Prepare 40%, 70% and 100% design review and construction documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates and attend review meetings. 8. Prepare final bid documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimate. 9. Assist in obtaining the required permits for construction. 10. Assist in the bidding process including pre-bid meeting, preparation of addenda, and bid evaluation. 11. Attend the preconstruction meeting and periodic site meetings under the direction of the City’s Representative. 12. Review, log and approve Contractor submittals and shop drawings for conformance with design concept and the Construction Documents. 13. Recommend and prepare Change Orders as necessary and review change orders for cost analysis and design changes. 14. Reply to RFIs from the Contractor. 15. Review and approve Contractor Invoices. 16. Make permanent “As Constructed Plans” for any specific work project from the Contractor’s redline. Transmit the drawings to the City in electronic format compatible with the City’s most current AutoCAD version.
