Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Student Housing seeks to contract with an integrator to purchase, install, and service a new security platform to ensure a safer and more efficient environment for our staff and residents. Our current security platform, which is divided amongst several vendors, has proven to be inefficient and difficult to maintain. The system is out of date, and much of the system has been discontinued. The current door access control software is TotalCard. The relationship has been maintained since the installation of the current system. Over the past year, we have observed many issues related to an outdated system and a vendor that is unable to provide the level of service required for an institution as large as the University of Mississippi Student Housing. The current system is a network of mini-PCs located in each building. The computers contain Isonas software, which is an intermediate between the exterior and gender doors and the server, has been discontinued. Other PCs in the building manage the wireless locks (AD400 or WA Series) installed on the resident doors and offices. This software can operate simultaneously on a PC that houses the Isonas software. The AD400 locks are networked directly to the TotalCard/IBM server located in the University of Mississippi SuperComputer Center.
