Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sealcoat • Parking lotsurfaces shall be cleaned and free of any standing water and foreign materials by the contractor immediately before seal coat application. • Cleaning is to be done per the seal coat manufacturer's instructions for product application and longevity. Crack Seal • All cracks greater than 1/8" should be crack-sealed. • All cracks are to be free of all vegetation, dust, and debris to the bottom of the crack • All cracks MUST be dry to ensure proper adhesion of the sealant material • All cracks should be cleaned using hot compressed air or a crack router to maximize adhesion of the sealant • Cleaned cracks shall be filled with hot-applied rubber asphalt crack sealer. The project is based on the use of Right Pointe Crack Sealant or approved equivalent Crack Asphalt Rubber 233 or NuvoCS. • All products used in crack sealing shall be compatible with each other and all asphalt seal coat products. • Refined Tar Emulsion seal coat has been chosen asthe acceptable product to be used for this project. The project is based on the use of Black Diamond Pavement Sealer or approved equivalent. • Seal coat isto be used at a minimum rate of .22 - .28 gallons persquare yard with a minimum of 2 coats. The product must be mixed and applied per manufacturer's recommendations Striping Parking Areas • All existing pavement markings, fire lanes, and parking striping within the project area will be repainted as they currently exist with a quick-drying traffic-rated paint applied in a minimum of two coats. • Provide documentation on the brand and specifications of the proposed crack sealant and seal coating. • Submittals on all products must be submitted and approved before commencing work.
