Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide a VE Consultant to lead a VE Workshop. Form a VE team and lead that team in a short duration study of the 30% preliminary design of the WWTP Phase II Upgrade based on standard value engineering methodology. The VE team will study the functional relationships and cost of the project elements, identify and evaluate potential alternative concepts, and develop conceptual level cost estimates for the “best few” alternatives deemed worthy of consideration for project value improvement. Be responsible for coordinating all communications between the VE team and the Town and arranging for the collection of project study material. Conduct one VE workshop on the 30% preliminary design of the WWTP Phase II Upgrade. It is anticipated that the workshop will comprise a three-day session, scheduled to be conducted the week of December 4, 2023, or the following week depending on the selected firm’s availability The VE workshop will take place at the Hampton WWTP. Representatives from the Town, NHDES, and Wright-Pierce will participate in the workshop. Wright-Pierce will make a designer’s presentation on the first day of the workshop, attend the VE findings summary presentation on the final day of the workshop, and will be available for questions by phone or e-mail during the VE workshop. Compile and provide a draft report to the Town within ten days of the VE workshop completion. The report will summarize and present the following: project goals and objectives, program/project description, VE methodology, scope of analysis, and VE alternatives developed with the associated cost impacts. Revise and provide a final report to the Town within ten days of receiving review comments from the Town, NHDES and Wright-Pierce. The final scope of work will be determined by the Town and the team selected to complete the project.
