The NEC also requires that the working space in front of the switchgear is 5’ which is not obtainable in the current location. As a result of poor space constraints, egress issues and outage durations, a new building will be constructed to house the new switchgear. Contractor shall provide a project schedule with key milestones identified, power shutdown requirements, and completion dates. Contractor to coordinate any shutdown period with Physical Plant. The contractor is required to provide temp power using portable generators to the buildings affected by the shutdown.
