Specifications include, but are not limited to: Inspect fountain, mechanics, electrical, and plumbing. Drain the fountain and entire system. Thoroughly clean the fountain and surrounding tiled area: Inspect for cracks, missing tiles, missing grout, bulges, holes, etc Clean and remove all algae and limescale buildup. Clean intakes and skimmers Inspect piping, screens, fittings, etc. Replace old Motor and Pump Unit with brand-new Motor and Pump Unit. Inspect wiring between the junction box, switch, and motor and replace with band-new wiring, if needed Replace old Filters with brand-new Filters. Refill fountain with distilled water (regular water may substituted with permission). Use the safest, most effective possible water conditioners and algaecides. This is an exposed, public fountain where direct contact by humans and animals can happen. Use cleaners, conditioners, that won’t harm those who purposefully or accidentally come into contact with the fountain water. Reassemble and charge the system. Test the Motor/Pump unit. Inspect the system for cracks, brakes, leaks etc. Replace the main fountain nozzle form the fountain centerpiece. Nozzle is removed and lost so Vendor must find a suitable, approved replacement. The stone centerpiece is a type of stone that is eroding very quickly, the area of the stone which one supported the now missing nozzle may need to be manipulated in some way in order for a new nozzle to properly fit. **If the stone in the centerpiece must be manipulated in any way in order to fit the nozzle, Vendor must consult with the Contract Administrator before installation of the nozzle. Vendor is not to gouge, scratch, chip, break, or remove any stone without first getting express permission to do so from the Contract Administrator. ****All cleaning materials and products, and other products associated with the cleaning, maintenance, and daily functioning of the fountain need to be reasonably safe and non-toxic while simultaneously being effective for its intended use. ****All replacement equipment and hardware must be brand new and equivalent in function and value to the parts being removed. All equipment and parts must be approved by the Contract Administrator. Monthly Maintenance 12 Cleaning and Maintenance Treatments to be completed in once calendar year starting at the time of the Initial Cleaning and Repair
