Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of a 1.75” Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay & 3” Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay on approximately 3.43 miles & 4.43 miles of road in Harvey County, Kansas, respectively. The 3” Hot Mix Asphalt overlay will be comprised of a 1” blade-leveling course prior to a 2” surface lift. Road widths are generally 24 feet wide. HMA will be KDOT BM-2 Commercial Grade Mix and the application must be with a spray paver for all roads. Conventional Paving shall be used at intersection radius areas. Approximately 2,844 SY of milling will be required as part of the scope of work which includes milling transitions to the existing paved surfaces and at bridge exemptions. Diamond grind the 27’-2” wide by 26’-0’ long east approach of bridge M-7.6 by 1”. Saw and seal final surface of HMA overlay on east approach of bridge M-7.6. Temporary pavement marking is included in this contract subsidiary to HMA costs. Striping will be on the centerline only.
