Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Fire Alarm System Installing Contractor (herein referred to as the Contractor) shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and perform all operations in connection with the demolition of the existing fire alarm system and installation of a new addressable automatic fire detection system throughout the Engineering Education and Research Center (EER) located on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, as indicated and described on the contract drawings and in this specification. Other than where noted by the design documents, the existing fire alarm system shall remain fully operational until acceptance of the new fire alarm system by the University of Texas. B. This Section specifies the requirements for furnishing and commissioning a fully functional addressable fire detection and emergency voice alarm/communication system with full interface with other related systems. Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Fire alarm control unit modification and expansion as required. 2. Smoke detection. 3. System acceptance testing and commissioning. 4. 120 VAC power as required for all fire alarm system and auxiliary power supply panels. 5. Demolition of existing system
