Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall maintain expertise in the following:•Fusion splicing of fiber-optic cable, including single splices and ribbon splices•Fusion termination of fiber-optic cables and connectors•Installation of fiber-optic cable in a duct, innerduct, raceway, or as an aerial attachment•Placement of aerial and underground splice cases and cable slack•Placement of duct and innerduct•Cleaning and testing of fiber-optic cable including optical time-delay reflectometer (OTDR), powermeter, visible fault locater, and other industry standard testing methodologies.•Both the creation and interpretation of splicing diagrams, and test results•Interpretation of construction drawings•Creation of as-built documentation for all fiber placed, spliced, and terminated.
