Specifications include, but are not limited to: DBEDT is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to conduct the Cruise Visitor Survey (SURVEY) for calendar years 2024, 2025 and 2026. The successful CONTRACTOR shall efficiently prepare survey materials and coordinate with various shipping agents and key ship staff to have the survey forms delivered and distributed aboard cruise ships touring the Hawaiian Islands in calendar years 2024, 2025 and 2026. Samples shall be drawn from all out-of-state ships touring in Hawai‘i for more than 2 nights and from the Hawai‘i-home-ported Norwegian Cruise Line ship, Pride of America. The CONTRACTOR shall retrieve completed survey forms on a timely basis, accurately scan returned survey forms, process and report cruise visitor basic characteristics and spending data. Counts, characteristics and spending of visitors who came by cruise ships to Hawai‘i is combined with statistics from visitors who came by air service (under a separate contract) to calculate total visitor data for the state. DBEDT will provide the current programming syntax for cruise visitor data processing. Electronic data highlights and banners shall be delivered to DBEDT on a monthly, cumulative year-to-date, and annual basis at the schedule determined by DBEDT.
