Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project primarily consists of replacing the taxiway edge lighting system for the airport’s partial parallel Taxiway Alpha and connector taxiways A1, A2, and A3, including 118 new LED medium intensity taxiway light fixtures on new light base cans and three new L-858 airfield signs. Other elements include replacement of the L-881 2-box Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPIs) for the Runway 1 and Runway 19 approaches, and replacement of two pairs of Runway Guard Lights (RGL) on Taxiway A1. Drain lines will also be retrofitted on portions of the existing Runway 1-19 edge lighting circuit’s conduit system, and at select locations throughout the new taxiway edge lighting circuit’s conduit route. In all, approximately 10,500 linear feet of 2-inch direct buried conduit with an associated linear footage of counterpoise system, and approximately 2,200 linear feet of 2-inch drain line will be installed, along with approximately 25,500 linear feet of new airfield lighting cable. New constant current regulators (CCRs) for each of the two PAPI circuits, the Runway Guard Light circuit, and for the taxiway edge lighting circuit will be installed, along with associated modifications to the airfield electrical vault and lighting control panels. Some grading work to create level pads for signs and for the PAPIs will be required, including re-routing of swale flowlines and a 100-foot extension of a 12-inch diameter storm drain.
