Specifications include, but are not limited to: Generally, appraisals shall only be requested for buildings owned by the University with a value of more than 10 million dollars. The list of buildings is split into two groups: 1. Utilities, and 2. the rest of campus including UIHC and buildings in Oakdale, North Liberty, Iowa City, and Coralville. The Utilities list shall require a 100% on-site appraisal once every 5 years. Every other year, those building shall require an off-site book appraisal instead. For the rest of campus, around 20% of the buildings shall get an on-site appraisal while the rest will be off-site. The buildings requiring an on-site appraisal shall rotate annually. The Risk Management department shall confirm the list of buildings to be appraised annually. If any new buildings are added to the University, an appraisal will not be required for the first 5 years. The University reserves the right to adjust the appraisal schedule as needed, and will discuss this with the successful Supplier.
