Specifications include, but are not limited to: Line Item 1- Mill Creek Erosion Control Project This project proposes to construct simple Zeedyk style structures using native materials such as rocks, wood, tumbleweeds and mulch to stabilize bare soil areas at one high priority area directly adjacent to Mill Creek. These structures would allow hikers to access a small alcove while reducing redundant social trails and protecting soils and native vegetation. This would reduce erosion and associated sediment loading into Mill Creek and improve water quality conditions. Line Item 2- Kens Lake Campground Willow Planting This project proposes to collect approximately 500 native willow cuttings from the adjacent riparian area. The cuttings would be collected in a dispersed manner so as not to impact riparian resources and functionality. The cuttings would be planted along approximately 150-200’ of unstable streambank directly adjacent to the campground. This would help stabilize the streambank and reduce the potential for additional streambank erosion. The willows would encourage natural stream flows and flood flows to migrate to the north, into the original channel and away from the campground, thus reducing the risk of damage to the campground from future flood events. Line Item 3- Pack Creek Ranch Road Bridge This project proposes to plant 250 locally sourced willow cuttings along approximately 100’ of unstable streambank directly upstream of the Pack Creek Ranch Road bridge. This would help stabilize the streambank and reduce the potential for additional streambank erosion.
