Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Loa Fish Hatchery was originally constructed in the mid-1930s. Due to age, disease, and invasive species present on-site, a new fish hatchery and accompanying buildings are needed to replace the aged and dilapidated facilities. The new buildings/structures include the hatchery building, covered raceways, office, maintenance shop, feed building, standalone residential homes, spring development, disinfection station, truck filling station, wastewater treatment, and site drainage and paving. Before new construction can begin, the existing structures must be properly and completely removed, including an over-excavation of infected soils for a minimum of two feet beyond infrastructure edge.
