Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Before beginning work, the Contractor must contact Project Supervisor and participate in an on-site meeting with the Project Supervisor to review contract specifications, expectations, and address any other pertinent questions. 2. Contractor must notify the Project Supervisor at least one week before work begins. 3. Contractor must furnish all herbicide, equipment, labor, licensing, supplies, transportation, fuel and all else necessary for job completion as described within this bid solicitation. 4. Contractor shall work in a manner that minimizes rutting, sod, and severe soil disturbance. 5. Contractor must have on site a person with the ability to identify all invasive plant species when any cutting or herbicide treatment is being performed. 6. Each applicator must have a license recognized by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to commercially apply herbicides (MN Category A, plus J, or equivalent), and must have in possession a current card or license. Proof of licensure must be submitted with the bid. 7. Any equipment left on site must be secured and is the sole responsibility of the Contractor. 8. Contact Project Supervisor and adjacent landowners, as needed, for additional access permission and specific details regarding use. 9. Contractor is responsible to be aware of and meet all Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances as they relate to the type of work being conducted. 10. Contractors must have on site Safety Data Sheets for all products that contain and/or may create hazardous substances. 11. All oil, diesel, herbicide, and other hazardous fluid spells must be cleaned up immediately by the contractor in accordance with Pollution Control Agency (PCA) guidelines. SITE DESCRIPTION AND PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Treat approximately 28.6 acres with herbicide for the following invasive exotics/non desirable species: a. All Invasive Glossy species within site. b. All European Buckthorn species within site. 2. Basal bark spray all buckthorn present in project area with herbicide as specified. If stems are less than three (3) feet tall with green leaves present, foliar application is acceptable.
