Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful proposer will be responsible for all aspects of the City’s workers’ compensation cases of varying complexity, including initial case evaluation; guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication; creation of litigation plans; conduct of depositions, medical review and other discovery; negotiation and complete litigation of cases, as necessary. The successful proposer will possess strong negotiation and communication skills, a firm understanding of Kansas workers’ compensation law, and effective caseload management skills. The successful proposer will operate under the direction of the Director of Law and also report to and work with the City’s Risk Manager.
