Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Aeration Industries International LLC, a division of, Newterra Corporation, Inc. d/b/a Aire-02 (Newterra), for a one-time purchase of four (4) each, custom non-standard 60 and 40 horse power (HP), AIRE-O2 Triton 2.0 Aerators and associated parts to include, but not limited to, electrical cable, mooring kits, control panels, Tritons, floats, handrails, non-standard materials, blower upgrades, freight, and startup costs, in the amount of $1,518,462.00. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(3) of the County’s Procurement Policy and is considered a sole source as, Newterra is the sole manufacturer and provider of the particular aerator equipment matching the County’s existing equipment and would standardize the aerators at this particular wastewater treatment facility, in order to, reduce financial investment, maintain interchangeability, and simplify maintenance, as these items are only reasonably available from one source, Newterra. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached, Quote No. QU-201010949.R2, dated August 10, 2023, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
