Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Develop an illumination plan for the site and have it approved by Public Works before proceeding further in the design. • Complete the design for the project based on the illumination plan and have it approved by the city before beginning construction. • Power for the lights may be either solar or connected to Eversource’s’ electrical grid. • Streetlights should be decorative. Specification of the lights used in the downtown area is attached. If solar lights are used, they should be similar but do not have to match. • If attached to the electrical grid the team is responsible for the design and installing the conduits and electrical circuits ICW the City and Eversource. • Purchasing and installing streetlights. • Coordinating with Eversource for a power source. (existing City circuits come out of a panel by the parking garage and in a panel in the Main/Pleasant parking lot-see attached drawings) nearest Eversource transformer is the one at the south end parking lot by the Belknap Mill. • If the existing panels cannot provide power provide an alternative plan for connecting to Eversource’s local electrical grid. • Lights will be LED – 3000K. • Repair any paved surfaces cut to install the conduit.
