Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Washington County Community Services Department is soliciting proposals to identify and contract with an experienced organization offering Crisis Intervention Team Training activities. Services in this competitive solicitation include, but are not limited to: • Crisis Intervention Team Training (CIT): Comprises a 40-hour specialized program provided by a qualified CIT provider, designed to instruct law enforcement personnel on effectively addressing incidents related to mental health crises. This training initiative operates through a collaborative effort involving law enforcement agencies, emergency response personnel, mental health service providers, advocacy organizations, as well as individuals and families associated with those affected by mental illness. The primary objective of CIT training is to enhance the well-being and safety of both individuals experiencing crises and the law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel who attend to these situations. • Crisis Intervention Team Refresher Courses: Designed for personnel as mentioned above who have previously gone through the 40-hour course and are seeking an updated refresher course. • Train the Trainer Crisis Intervention Training Courses: Designed for personnel interested and recommended to be part of the CIT training in a trainer/coach capacity.
