Specifications include, but are not limited to: enhance or expand components of the City’s Program for Reintegration, Engagement, Safety, and Support (PRESS) initiative. This funding opportunity covers initiatives and activities that promote the success and well-being of community members at the highest risk for being involved in community violence and their social networks including family members, partners or co-parents, and children who might be impacted. Proposals should be rooted in evidence-based practices that are accompanied with strategies that reduce barriers to engagement in prosocial programming and increase organizational capacity to engage with and serve clients. Programs funded under this solicitation shall target adults aged 18 and older and families. One award is available for each target area of focus described below: I. Peer mentor/life coaching services for PRESS clients at high-risk for involvement in gun violence. II. Case management for partners/co-parents and families of PRESS clients to support the well-being and success of their social networks. III. Specialized workforce development and employment support for PRESS clients. IV. Data capacity and training for community-based partners to improve data quality and tracking for program evaluation and continued quality improvement. V. Administration of cash assistance for basic needs and other flexible funding for clients across programs funded under this grant.
