Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Nebraska is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all material and labor for modifications to existing 10” piping located in the City Campus Utility tunnels. The existing piping is abandoned in place and will be repurposed for use as a condensate return line to convey pumped condensate from buildings on campus back to the central plant. The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to salvage and reinstall the existing piping to the extent possible, and provide new piping, fittings, valves and components were required for a complete a functional system. Interconnecting points to existing systems are indicated on the drawings. Existing pipe hangers, guides, anchors and expansion joints associated with the existing 10” piping shall be removed and new components installed as indicated on the drawings. The scope of work also requires the installation of new 2” medium pressure condensate (MPC) headers within the tunnel.
