Specifications include, but are not limited to: White County seeks a proposal to purchase the White County Landfill by aqualified bidder who shall accept the Landfill and its past, present, and future obligations andcontinue to legally operate and manage said Landfill pursuant to the terms of this RFP. Qualifiedand responsible bidders shall produce an offer to purchase the Landfill, equipment and facilitiesrelating to the operation of the Landfill; seek transfer of all permits, certifications andauthorization; and be responsible for any and all future regulatory and financial obligationsassociated with the operation and closure of the Landfill and post-closure activities. As part ofthe Purchase, successful bidder shall also provide for acceptance, of White County trash,garbage, and items legally accepted for the citizens of White County for a period ofForty (40) years under the terms and conditions set forth in this RFP.
