Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa PBS is requesting bids for a direct replacement of its original 2008 EVS Video Server/Replay System that is installed and used in its mobile production unit. The reasons for an RFB for direct replacement are as follows: • The space available for the 2 pieces of hardware that make up the system must match the existing units, as additional space is not available. The available space is 8U (8 rack units). The new replacement hardware units from EVS are 6U and 2U. • The connectivity, ins and outs, must match the existing unit. The replacement units from EVS match the number and type of connections we currently have in the truck. There is no physical room to add more, or change types of cabling and connectors. There is also no more capacity within the other connected systems to handle different or more inputs and outputs from a device of this type. • The video system in the mobile unit can only understand NTSC 1080i video standards, which this replacement system is designed to conform to.
