Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal of existing exterior coating with heavy metal containment, abatement & disposal Coating exterior of tank with new epoxy/polyurethane system; Removal of existing interior coating and painting of tank interior with 3-coat epoxy system; Structural repairs including miscellaneous chipping and grinding, seam sealing, grout repair, rafter repair, and foundation repair; Replacement of existing 24-inch diameter shell hatch with a 30-inch diameter hatch; Installation of clog-resistant vent; Installation of flexible connections at tank inlet and outlet pipes; Relocation of tank overflow pipe to exterior of the tank; Modification of existing drainage piping; and Ladder modifications including replacing the exterior ladder, installing a safe-climbing device on the new exterior ladder, removal of the exterior ladder safety cage, and modification of platform safety rails; Installation of tank mixing system. The following alternate work will also be considered: Installation of cathodic protection system.
