Specifications include, but are not limited to: Objectives • Painting project includes but is not limited to: • Painting walls, ceilings, doors, trim and stairwell hand railing in the following areas of the station. • Apparatus bay and attached rooms off of apparatus bay. • Downstairs conference room and closet. • Downstairs library. • Inspectors’ office. • Lobby/Entry. • Lobby hall and lobby bathrooms. • All stairwells and stairwell storage areas. • All rooms, dorms rooms, living areas, offices, bathrooms, and closets in the upstairs of station. Deliverables • The application of one coat of primer and two coats of Sherwin-Williams paint or approved equivalent premium quality interior latex with colors to match existing paint. Exact paint color will be provided by Project Manager. • Sheen level will be eggshell. • The paint shall be used an applied per label and data sheet instructions. • The material shall not be thinned or modified in any way unless specified herein. • Proper surface preparation and condition of the surface shall be strictly adhered to. • All data sheets on specified materials will be required to be provided to the Project Manager. • All paint and sundries at the job site shall be available for inspection at any time upon commencement of the job by the Project Manager. • Leftover paint will be labeled and provided to the City for future touch-ups. • Touch up of stain (two coats) on woodwork including doors, door trim, window trim, chair rail and wainscotting. Trim work should be hand brushed and rolled. • Stain application used is Miller Paints Amber Cherry stain or approved equivalent is for all woodwork. • Metal handrails, doors, beams in engine bay will be sanded and painted to match existing color . • Union from trim to walls will be caulked and filled. • Minor wall repair should be brought to the attention of the Project Manager first for approval of repair. Should any surface be found unsuitable to produce a proper paint or sealant finish or any areas in need of repair, the Project Manager shall be notified, in writing, and no materials shall be applied until the unsuitable surfaces have been made satisfactory.
