Specifications include, but are not limited to: Community Paramedicine Standard Development Develop Maine’s Community Paramedicine standards in alignment with CAMTS MIH accreditation, the IBSC’s CP-C certificate as well as the clinician scope of practice and formulary found in the related documents section. Host stakeholder session(s) to get national and statewide input on future standards. Utilize the stakeholder sessions to inform standards development. The standards should consider 3 different levels of licensure and be modular so that each level can build on the prior level of education. Community Paramedicine Affiliate This level will be available for people licensed at an EMT, AEMT or Paramedic level license. This should provide the base curriculum for the two higher-level providers. Community Paramedicine Technician This level will be available for people licensed at an AEMT or Paramedic level license. This should build on the affiliate-level curriculum. Community Paramedicine Clinician This level will be available for people at a Paramedic-level license. This should build on the Affiliate and Technician level curriculum. This should align with national CP-C standards and the Maine Community Paramedicine Clinician scope of practice and formulary included in the related documents section. The standards should identify both psychomotor and cognitive competencies. Template Curriculum Development Develop a template curriculum that aligns with the CP standards. This template will present an option for training centers to use when providing CP education but will not be required. There should be 3 templates: Community Paramedicine Affiliate; Community Paramedicine Technician; Community Paramedicine Clinician. Identify recommendations for adjunct texts for said curricula. If multiple texts are available provide a crosswalk of the texts and their alignment with the proposed standards. These texts will not be required, but will serve as a resource for training centers. Draft a continuing education model Provide a recommended framework for continuing education in alignment with the proposed standards. This should look similar to the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP model).
