Desired Outcome: Purchase ballistic Level IIIA NIJ Rated 0106.01 helmets and deploy them to deputies to utilize in response to violent crimes. Specifications: Ballistic Protection; Helmet must offer a broad range of construction and durability. Meet or exceed NIJ Level IIIA - NIJ 0106.01. Provide fragmentation Protection; Provide protection against fragments V50 700m/sec (2300 fps) according to STANAG 2920 (17gr FSP) and US MIL STD 662F. Meet or exceed US MIL SPEC ACH Fragmentation for 2gr, 4gr, 16gr, 17gr and 64gr RCC fragments; Meet Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) design standards; Key features: Must be made of advanced ballistic materials such as aramid fibers (e.g., Kevlar) or high-strength polyethylene to provide reliable ballistic protection; Protection Level: Protection against fragments V50 700m/sec (2300 fps) according to STANAG 2920 (17gr FSP) and US MIL STD 662F. Also meet or exceed US MIL SPEC ACH Fragmentation for 2gr, 4gr, 16gr, 17gr and 64gr RCC fragments Cut Styles: Must provide the availability of multiple cut styles to provide options for different preferences and/or assignments.
