Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor will be responsible to examine the site and be responsible for the nature and location of work and the general local conditions, particularly those bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling and storage of materials, availability of all labor, services, equipment, tools, and materials required to grind all accumulated brush, trees, logs, stumps, and all other wood products located at the New Fairfield Drop Off Center. Contractor will be responsible for any repairs, maintenance and fuel during the performance of this work. 2. All chipped material shall be removed from the site. 3. The Drop Off Center is located at 41 Bigelow Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812. Work shall be restricted to Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays when the facility is not open to the public. 4. Bidders are responsible for their own measurements and calculations. Contractors shall bid the project as a lump sum, including mobilization, demobilization and fuel surcharge if applicable. The awarded Contractor and Public Works Superintendent will mutually agree on the measurements and calculations to be processed or removed from the Drop Off Center. 5. All work shall be completed no later than June 30, 2024. 6. All Contractors wishing to submit a proposal shall visit the work site by contacting the Public Works Superintendent to view the site. To take all measurements, note all conditions and all other factors, which may affect the work as no exceptions will be considered after the award of the project, even though it may be a hardship on the Contractor.
