Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Introduction: The legal services provider will work with the client to defend the Municipality in the case June Fonoti, PR for Estate of Julio Fonoti, Jr. v. Municipality of Anchorage/Anchorage Fire Department, Anchorage Superior Court Case No. 3AN-23-04457, pending before Judge Gandbhir (the litigation). 2. Litigation Duties: The legal services provider will represent the interests of the Municipality in the litigation, provide competent legal representation against the allegations of wrongful death, negligence, gross negligence and/or recklessness, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. The legal services provider will comply with all applicable laws, court rules and ethical standards. 3. Legal Advice: Throughout the litigation, the legal services provider will provide legal advice to the client. They will advise the client on the legal implications of each step taken during the litigation and provide recommendations on litigation steps, and negotiation of any resolution in the client's best interests. 4. Timeline: Period of Performance is from Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) the date a contract is signed through the end of the state court case, with the option to extend by mutual consent of the parties if an appeal is taken. 5. Communication: The legal services provider will communicate regularly with the client throughout the litigation. They will provide updates on the status of the litigation and respond timely to any questions or concerns the client may have.
