Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) is seeking a Contractor(s) to provide Psychiatrist Services for Veterans/Residents whom are residing at the Arizona State Veterans’ Home-Phoenix (ASVH-P), Arizona State Veterans’ Home-Tucson (ASVH-T), Arizona Veterans’ Home-Yuma (ASVH-Y), and Arizona State Veterans’ Home-Flagstaff (ASVH-F). All ASVHs are state-owned and operated facilities built to serve the long-term needs of the Veterans and their spouses in Arizona. Contractor Shall: 4.1. Have knowledge of the principles and practices of general medicine, and a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practice of psychiatry. 4.2. Make diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment regime. 4.3. Adhere to the Arizona State Veterans’ Home(s) policies and procedures. 4.4. Make electronic medical patient entries. 4.5. Attend patient court hearings to provide testimony for court proceedings, discussion with legal representatives/agencies and other court required duties as necessary. 4.6. Respond to emergency calls within twenty-four (24) hours and provide a treatment(s) recommendation within twenty-four (24) hours from initial emergency call. 4.7. Administer medical treatment and diagnostics programs. 4.8. Apply prior knowledge and training to unusual and varied medical and/or psychiatric conditions. 4.9. Provide psychiatric care that is evidence-based and medically necessary. 4.10. Be skilled in diagnosing and using psychiatric knowledge.
